Modernist Workshop

Scifi Interior I made in 4 weeks for the Game Assembly. I wanted to make an environment that felt cozy and actually nice to be in. My impression of scifi interiors for the most part is that they tend to be overly industrial and dreary, and you have a hard time imagining living there. Because I still wanted to show of some machinery, I made it into a home workshop in a luxury home where someone has been tinkering away at an engine. Most of the time for this project was spent on composition and lighting. I couldn't find as many references as I would've for an environment like this, so I had to rely more on my own knowledge to capture the exact feel. The design of the room changed a lot over the course of this project, but what helped me finally get a good vision was by just removing the right wall and turning into the balcony it is now. It made the room less claustrophobic, and suddenly I barely had to think of how I was going to decorate the room next, because it felt to obvious.

Overall, while there were plenty of bumps in the road for this project, I'm pleased with the end result
